What is included in the “Skate Experience Ticket Price”?
  • 45-minute skating session at reserved time and date
  • Skate rental (We hold a large number of skates and a wide range of sizes are available. Our skate sizes range from size J8 to size 14. We also have bob skates available for younger skaters. Skate size availability and bob skates cannot be guaranteed. They are issued on a first-come, first-served basis).

Is there a minimum age or height required to skate?

For safety reasons, all children between the ages of UNDER 12 Years must be accompanied by a skater who is 18 years old or over at all times.

Skaters aged 13-17 may skate on their own, but a parent or guardian must remain at the rink to supervise them at all times.

There is no height restriction to skate

Children must not be carried on the rink.

You can skate on our rink up to any age

You are responsible for skating and it is not recommended for anyone with serious illness, heart conditions or pregnant mothers-to-be.

Can I bring my own skates?

Skate hire is included in the ticket price, but you can bring your own skates if preferred. There is no reduction in price if you bring your own skates. Rink of Kerry is not responsible for your skates, shoes or property.

What should I wear?

The rink is indoor and the area is not heated. Wrap up in warm, outdoor clothing and please wear gloves.

GLOVES ARE REQUIRED - wearing gloves not only to help with the cold but also to aid traction when getting up.

It is a good idea to bring a change of socks for after your session.

Is there safety equipment available?

We advise all skaters to use suitable protective gear, if required. We have a limited supply of safety equipment available at the skate desk so please ask if you require something on arrival.

Can you wear normal shoes if you have special needs?

No, everyone must wear skates or if they are in a wheelchair they can be pushed around.

Can I bring my Phone?

The use of phones, cameras, music players or any hand-held equipment is not permitted whilst skating.

Can I bring my bag to the rink?

Bags of any description are not allowed on the rink. We recommend that you only bring essentials with you. All bags must be placed in the loceker provided.

Storage lockers are used entirely at your own risk. Rink of Kerry does not accept any liability for loss, theft or damage except if caused by intent or gross negligence of the company or its employees.

Do you provide skating aids for inexperienced skaters?

Yes, we provide a number of fibre-glass weighted penguins on the rink that operate on a first-come, first-served basis. There are a limited number available so it is best to arrive at the venue in advance of your session to ensure the availability of a penguin aid. Skate aids are available for skaters 110cm or under.

Can I change my booking?

Once booked, tickets are non-transferable and are unable to be rescheduled, refunded or cancelled.

Can I book by phone?

No all bookings and availability can be found on this website.

How do I receive my tickets?

Via Email to the address provided at booking.  Bring the email as confirmation on your phone, tablet or printed out.
